Mendota fireworks light up Saturday’s sky

Show was delayed 2 weeks after initial date was rained out

Spectators of Mendota’s fireworks had to wait two more weeks, but judging by the amazement on their faces Saturday, it was worth it.

The fireworks sponsored by the Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce were set off from Lake Mendota. The fireworks were initially planned June 27, but rainy conditions that night postponed them.
