Ryan Eiermann tossed a complete-game shutout Wednesday to lead the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp to a 2-0 victory over the Quincy Gems at Veterans Park in Peru.

Eiermann gave up four hits while striking out 13 batters and walking two.

Tom Jurak drove in both of the game’s runs.

The center fielder singled home Will Worthington in the second inning, and plated Danny Wuestenfeld with an RBI groundout in the fourth.

The Pistol Shrimp (6-13) now head to Quincy to play the Gems (6-11) on Thursday and Friday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. both nights.
