A Mendota man so far is ticketed for a minor offense, but La Salle police still are investigating a “large fight” at 2:09 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 in the 500 block of La Salle Street, following which a man was hospitalized.

Myron T. Lesley, 22, of Mendota, was ticketed for disturbing the peace but La Salle police said in a report issued Wednesday that felony charges are under review by the La Salle County State’s Attorney’s Office after a 22-year-old man was transferred first to St. Margaret’s-Peru and then a Peoria trauma center.

La Salle police noted a patron outside Rephil’s Bar told police, “He’s got a gun. He’s got a gun.” The person referenced was Lesley, who tried to flee the scene, but no gun was recovered.
