U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Channahon) “is over the moon,” he said Wednesday afternoon on Twitter.

That’s because he and his wife Sofia Boza-Holman announced the birth of their son Christian Adam Kinzinger.

The mother and baby are doing well, Kinzinger said.

The congressman tweeted Jan. 6 he was on “baby watch” and that’s why he was unable to be on the House floor for a moment of silence.

This is the congressman’s first child. He and Sofia were married in February 2020. Kinzinger is serving what he said will be his last term in Congress.
