A 57-year-old Streator man was taken to OSF Center for Health in Streator after a single-vehicle crash at East Ninth Road and Route 17 in Osage Township, just east of Wenona.

According to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Robert Boales was heading south on East Ninth Road at about 9:30 a.m. Monday when he lost control of his vehicle because of road conditions. His vehicle crossed the northbound lane of traffic and struck a guardrail on the east side of he roadway.

Boales was taken to OSF in Streator by AMT ambulance. No citations were issued.
