Sport: Softball

Why she was selected: Mardjetko struck out 15 to lead Lemont past De La Salle to the Class 3A sectional title.

She was voted the Athlete of the Week in an online vote. Other nominees were Downers Grove North track and field’s Philip Cupial, Lyons’ track and field’s Joey Bockwell and Timothy Christian tennis player Hudson Tseng.
