Hendrik DeVries scored a second-half goal assisted by Cam Baker and Peter Buikema posted a clean sheet in goal as the Trojans advanced to the Class 1A state tournament. They will face Wheaton Academy, a 1-0 winner over Waukegan Cristo Rey St. Martin, in Friday’s 1 p.m. state semifinal at EastSide Center in East Peoria.

Calli Kenny had six kills and two digs, Kyla Ostrowski six kills, Katie Linnig four aces, four digs and nine assists and Hannah Kenny three kills, three digs and eight assists for the Warriors (34-1) in the Class 4A Willowbrook Regional semifinal.

St. Francis d. Freeport 25-10, 25-10

Anna Paquette had six kills, Megan Olson seven digs and five aces, Amari Talluri-Boye five aces, Catherine D’Orazio seven digs and KK Dumpit 10 assists for the Spartans (23-13) in the Class 3A Burlington Central Regional semifinal.

Caitlin Johnson had four kills and five blocks, Ella Brend nine digs, Paige Syswerda 20 assists and three kills and Audrey Brcka six kills and three digs for the Falcons (18-18).
