Mill Road realignment work well underway in Yorkville

Construction is well underway on the realignment of Mill Road just east of Kennedy Road on Yorkville’s far north side.

Construction started June 24 and is expected to last through mid-November.

Improvements to Mill Road include the realignment of its intersection at Kennedy Road just south of Galena Road along with the installation of a shared-use path and storm drainage improvements, according to information provided by the cit.

Mill Road is closed for construction from Kennedy Road to Allegiance Crossing, just east of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway tracks. Traffic is being detoured onto Kennedy, Galena and Orchard roads.
