Kendall County seniors 65 and older can sign-up now for Saturday COVID-19 vaccine clinic


The Kendall County Health Department is inviting all county residents ages 65 and older to schedule an appointment to receive a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this Saturday, Feb. 6, at Yorkville High School, 797 Game Farm Road, Yorkville.

To be eligible, residents must reside in Kendall County, be 65 or older, have not yet received a COVID vaccine dose and have not yet scheduled a COVID vaccine appointment.

Also, those seeking to schedule an appointment will be asked to show proof of eligibility such as a state ID, household bill, etc., upon check-in.

The health department also asks that those attending arrive at the exact appointment time to aid in shortened wait times and to please bring their confirmation ticket with QR code either printed or on a smartphone.

In a statement, health department officials added: “Please understand we continue to experience limited supply of vaccine and we expect appointments will book quickly for this event. Please be patient, additional clinic events for seniors will be added as vaccine inventory allows.
