OHS Homecoming Parade scheduled for Sept. 19

After a COVID-19 cancellation in 2020, the students and staff of Oswego High School are set to take to the streets for the school’s annual Homecoming Parade, Sunday, Sept. 19.

The date was confirmed at the Aug. 3 meeting of the Oswego Village Board of Trustees, when the board voted to approve a temporary road closure of Routes 34 and 71.

Oswego School District 308 Director of Communications and Public Relations Theresa Komitas said Aug. 5 that plans for the parade have been put into place, “of course dependent on any inclement weather, and shut down.”

According to a map provided by the Village of Oswego, the parade will start off at 3 p.m. from Oswego High School, heading down Garfield Street to Jefferson Street, turning on to Main Street, then heading right on Tyler Street to Franklin Street, and back to the high school.

More information about OHS’ Homecoming Week will be announced as the date approaches.
