Montgomery police arrest Aurora man on multiple burglary charges

An Aurora man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges in connection with the burglary of several businesses along Montgomery Road in Montgomery over the past four years, according to village police.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Sept. 22, police said the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged Johnny Kimmons, 53, of the 700 block of Parker Avenue with six counts of burglary, two counts of possession of burglary tools, and criminal damage to property in connection with the burglaries that occurred at six businesses in the 600-800 block of Montgomery Road from March 2017 to last May.

Police said Kimmons was arrested on an outstanding warrant related to their investigation of the burglaries and the state’s attorney’s office subsequently approved the charges against him.

Kimmons was booked at the village police station and then transported to the Kane County Judicial Center in St. Charles to await a bond call.
