Yorkville police investigating early morning burglary at Erica Lane store

Yorkville police are investigating a reported burglary that took place in the early morning hours Monday at a store on Erica Lane.

In a press statement, police said officers responded to a reported burglary at 5:18 a.m., July 26, at a business in the 900 block of Erica Lane. Upon arrival, officers observed signs of forced entry and determined that the offenders were no longer on scene.

“Per surveillance video, police were able to confirm (two) of the offenders were wearing masks and gloves,” police said in the statement.

The total value of merchandise reported stolen from the store is currently unknown, according to police.

Police said their investigation is continuing.

Personnel from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Plano Police Department assisted Yorkville officers at the scene.
