Plano police: no evidence gun fired in late Friday night incident

Plano police are investigating a report of a single shot fired late Friday.

In a press statement, police said officers responded at 10:10 p.m., July 23, to the area of Keller Street and Hubbard Circle for a report of shots fired.

“A witness stated he observed a male subject get out of their vehicle and fire a single gunshot into the air,” the statement continued. The witness described the vehicle as a gray, newer-model Ford F-150 or a Chevy Silverado, and the incident is believed to have occurred in the driveway of a home in the 200-400 block of Keller Street.

Officers canvassed the area to speak to potential witnesses.

“At this time, there is no evidence that a gun was fired. There is no immediate threat to the public,” the statement read.
