Girls Bowling: Oswego takes second at sectionals, qualifies for state

Led by Lani Breedlove, who was sixth individually, the Oswego girls bowling team took second place at the Lockport Sectional to qualify for state.

Oswego bowled a team total of 5,672, second behind sectional champion Lockport’s 6,332. Breedlove bowled a 1,259 for sixth place, Evelyn James an 1,131, Amber Lymenstull a 1,078, Katelyn Watson a 927 and Hailey Jourdan a 905.

Oswego bowled games of 917, 913, 1,050, 967, 891 and 934.

Oswego East’s Johanna Zaportiza advanced as an individual with a score of 1,082.

The state meet is this Friday and Saturday at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford.
