Local ABATE members attend ABATE of IL Inc. Legislative Day

ABATE of IL Inc. conducted its legislative day April 14, at the Capitol Building in Springfield. Open Roads ABATE members met with members of the House and Senate via Zoom and in person over the course of the day and evening.

State reps heard ideas, concerns and issues regarding trailer plates, profiling, autonomous vehicles, E15 fuel, off-road vehicles and distracted drivers. ABATE members from Illinois filled a room at the Capitol while bills were being discussed. Some bills that ABATE discussed with the legislators were brought up the next day to investigate the result of phone calls, emails and ABATE’s presence April 14.
