Two drivers were taken to a local hospital following a crash on Illinois Route 47 near Yorkville on Sunday evening.

The crash involving two vehicles occurred about 5:39 p.m. at Route 47 and Walker Road in Kendall County, according to a report by the Illinois State Police.

The ISP said the roadway was shut down for around three hours, before being opened again about 9 p.m.

Any possible citations given to either driver have not been announced by the ISP.
