Whether you need a quiet space for work, a place for your kids to explore, or a spot for DIY projects, your library has you covered.

Play and invent in Kids Landing, get creative in the DIY Workshop, and discover new tech skills in the Training Lab.

Check out your library and see what we have to offer – the possibilities are endless, including:

• Kids Landing – read, play, and enjoy hands-on activities for birth-eighth grade

• Collaboration Zone – meet, work or study

• DIY Workshop – improve your crafting skills or develop a new hobby

• Tech Commons – improve basic computer skills or challenge yourself and try our 3D printer or other tech tools

We hope to see you soon! Discover what’s happening at your library at gpld.org.

The Librarian Recommends: “The Lost Queen” by Signe Pike, based on the real story of the Scottish Queen Languoreth, pulls readers into the politics and drama of 6th Century Scotland. Richly written, and vibrant in detail and depth, this first in a series features strong female characters, and plenty of politics. These books are perfect for fans of “Game of Thrones” and “Outlander,” says our Librarian Rebekah Noggle.

Paula Krapf is public relations and marketing manager for Geneva Public Library. The “Beyond the Bookshelves” column runs the third Thursday of each month. Feedback can be sent to editorial@kcchronicle.com.
