Two St. Charles businesses cited for selling tobacco products to minor

St. Charles Mayor Ray Rogina, acting as city’s Liquor Control Commissioner, enforced local tobacco ordinances for two local businesses cited for selling tobacco/alternative nicotine products to a minor.

The citations were considered at the March 15 meeting of the St. Charles Liquor Control Commission. The Commission considers alcohol, tobacco and massage license issues.

• Krish Ria Convenience, Inc., doing business as St. Charles BP gas station at 1660 West Main St., St. Charles, is required to pay a $250 fine and $500 in fees, according to a news release from the city.

• ABHY, Inc., doing business as St. Charles Shell at 307 West Main St., St. Charles, is required to pay a $500 fine and $500 in fees, the release stated. This is the licensee’s second offense, according to the release.
