Local St. Francis High School students named Illinois State Scholars

Several St. Francis High School students from the TriCities were among 34 seniors selected as Illinois State Schools.

According to a news release from the school, the Illinois State Scholar program recognizes students attending approved high schools for outstanding academic achievement. To qualify, students must have scored in the 95th percentile on the ACT or SAT and perform in the top 50% of their graduating class academically. Approximately the top 10% of graduates from approved high schools are announced as State Scholars each year.
