The Aurora Police Department continues to investigate an apparent murder-suicide on the city’s west side.

The victim, identified as Carolyn Walker, 62, of the 2100 block of Kensington Place, was found shot to death inside of her home, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

The suspect, Kenneth Milon, 66, of Orland Park, also was found dead inside the house with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the release stated.

Preliminary information reveal Walker and Milon had been involved in a domestic relationship that recently ended, according to the release.

While there were no prior domestic violence reports with the Aurora Police Department, investigators learned of a recent domestic violence report in another jurisdiction that prompted Walker to obtain an order of protection against Milon, the release stated.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with potential information about the incident, knowledge of the circumstances or possible video from home security systems are asked to call APD’s investigations department at 630-256-5500.
