St. Charles Police Department issues five speeding tickets during traffic enforcement campaign

Held during Super Bowl weekend

The St. Charles Police Department issued five speeding tickets during a traffic enforcement campaign conducted during Super Bowl Sunday.

St. Charles Police conducted additional traffic enforcement on Super Bowl Sunday as part the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort. The St. Charles Police joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois with their effort.

St. Charles Police also issued tickets for driving without insurance, distracted driving and driving without a valid driver’s license. Two other motorists were cited for other offenses.

The Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization was made possible with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
