Third community engagement session for Batavia school district’s master facilities plan scheduled for March 10

The third community engagement session for Batavia school district’s “Building Our Future Together” master facilities plan is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 10 in the Batavia High School cafeteria.

According to a news release from the school district, the purpose of the meetings is for the community to learn more about the district’s facilities plan and to gather feedback. The previous sessions have included information about the basics of the plan, the current state of the district’s school buildings and funding options for the plan.

In the third community engagement session, district staff and architects from DLR Group will provide details on the design concepts of the educational facilities master plan. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss conceptual priorities for the schools, relative to the funding options.

Later in the spring, the community chairs will present their findings and propose a long-range facilities plan to the Board of Education.
