St. Charles co-op gymnastics easily held off runner-up Glenbrook North to win the Fremd Sectional title and qualify for state for the first time since 2014.

Glenbard West's gymnastics team won its ninth straight regional title while Willowbrook senior Naomi Campbell won the all-around at Thursday's Willowbrook Regional.

Lake Park outscored St. Charles Wednesday at the DuKane Conference Meet, but it wasn’t enough to wrest the overall conference championship from St. Charles.

The competition was tough when four of the top five girls gymnastics teams in the state met Saturday afternoon at the Mari-Rae Sopper Invitational hosted by Fremd. Downers Grove co-op finished first, while St. Charles co-op was fifth.

The St. Charles co-op gymnastics team beat Geneva 141.65-139.05 on Wednesday.

Haylie Hinckley won the all-around, vault and floor, leading Wheaton Co-op to the title of the Wheaton Warrenville South Sectional and an automatic state bid.

The Oswego Co-op powered its way to a championship again on Monday, this time at the Hinsdale Central Sectional.
