Batavia garbage pickup moved up because of hot weather

Garbarge will be picked up early in Batavia this week.

Groot will begin its routes at 6 a.m., an hour earlier than normal, on June 23 and June 24.

The city announced the change because of a forecast of high temperatures, which are expected to top out in the 90s over the next few days.
