La Salle County is back to low risk for COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to the county’s health department, under standards set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

La Salle County is now at medium risk for COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to the La Salle County Health Department, under standards set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

La Salle County remains at low risk for COVID-19, despite 44 other Illinois counties being designated at an elevated level by the Illinois Department of Public Health, including neighboring Marshall County.

While more than 40 Illinois counties are at medium risk for COVID-19, La Salle County remains at low risk, according to the La Salle County Health Department, under the standards set by the CDC.

There are 20 Illinois counties at medium risk, including Iroquois, Kankakee, Ford and Marshall, according to the CDC website.

Two women, one in her 70s and the other in her 80s, from La Salle County died from complications related to COVID-19.

La Salle County Health Department will begin offering the new fall 2023 COVID Moderna vaccine on a weekly basis, by appointment only.
