An accident involving a tractor-trailer has shut down all lanes on Route 251 at the U.S. 6 overpass in Peru.

First responders were dispatched to the scene about 10 a.m. Monday.

Preliminary information still is being gathered, but from an obstructed vantage point, it appeared as if the semi struck the overpass and spilled some cargo onto the roadway.
