L-P Sports Complex track to close for resurfacing Sept. 15

Track and field to remain closed to public for about four weeks during maintenance project

In March of this year, L-P announced a $9.5 million addition/renovation to its sports complex. The project will include the addition of a baseball field, two softball fields and four tennis courts; the installation of artificial turf on the soccer field; the expansion of parking; the addition of restrooms in the soccer building; and construction near the baseball/softball fields that will include a concession stand, press box and restrooms. — The track and interior field at La Salle-Peru Township High School Sports Complex will be closed to the public for about four weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 15. The track and interior field at La Salle-Peru Township High School Sports Complex will be closed to the public for about four weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 15.

The closure allows for resurfacing work on the track.

The track, which first opened to the public in March 2014, will reopen for public use once the project is complete.
