Public meeting on carbon capture set for Sept. 2 in Putnam

PCCAT invites residents to learn about CCS and its potential impact on the region

Stalks of cereal rye used as a cover crop for soybeans can naturally suppress weeds, by blocking sunlight and preventing germinating weeds from getting the light they need.

The Putnam County CO₂ Action Team (PCCAT) will host a free public meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lake Thunderbird, 2 Lake Thunderbird Dr.

The event will discuss Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) and its possible effects on the local community.

A short presentation from PCCAT will be followed by a live Q&A session with CCS experts.

The meeting is open to all. For more information, visit www.pccatcommunity.org or email info@pccatcommunity.org.
