Give the gift of warmth this holiday season.

Bureau County 4-H Federation is hosting its annual Hands to Larger Service winter accessory donation drive. Visit University of Illinois Extension at 850 Thompson St., Princeton, and trim the trees with new winter accessories.

“This past year, we collected over 500 winter accessories that were distributed across Bureau County and hope to surpass that this year,” Bureau County 4-H and Youth Development Program Coordinator Sarah Poignant said in a news release.

Donations received will be distributed to area food pantries and shelters. Hats, gloves/mittens and scarves will be accepted during business hours 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Have donations dropped off no later than Friday, Dec. 20. Federation members will distribute the items collected.
