Streator police announced Friday a missing 70-year-old, whose disappearance set off a Silver Alert, has been located and he’s safe.

The man was safely located in Alliance, Nebraska.

“We would like to thank all agencies that assisted us with this search,” police said in a statement, “as well as (Vermilion Valley Regional Emergency Communications) dispatch who did a tremendous job of relaying information between departments across state lines.”
