A full supermoon shines over the lake at Zearing Park on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023 in Princeton. A supermoon occurs when the moon is it's closest point in it's orbit around Earth. During this occurrence, the moon looks slightly larger-than-it's usual appearance. According to NASA, this supermoon was 222,043 miles from Earth or 17,000 miles closer than the average normal full moon.The first full Moon came on August 2 and the second one on August 30.
