Workers at Westclox in Peru install a new window on the exterior of the building on Tuesday, April 21, 2022. The next phase of the building will include an 8,000 square foot renovation of an event center. Work includes replacing seven large iconic windows, new floors and electricity. The new event center will occupy the space next to the Fire on Fifth. Banquets, weddings and other occasions will be scheduled at the venue. This is the largest renovation to the building. Completion is scheduled to be finished by mid-September. (Scott Anderson)
