Visiting Stevenson took advantage of some key turnovers to turn the tide against host Mundelein Friday night in North Suburban Conference football play. The Patriots built a 20-0 halftime lead over the Mustangs before posting a 36-0 NSC victory.


After the offense failed to score on its first possession, Logan Young led the Mustangs to six straight touchdown drives to lead Mundelein to a 42-27 victory over Grant to open the season.


Lake Forest used a good mix on offense to put together two long scoring drives in the first half and never looked back in a 35-14 win over Mundelein. The win puts the Scouts back in the playoffs.


Chris Pirrone ran for 183 yards and Lake Zurich scored the final 20 points Friday to take down Mundelein 30-14 in North Suburban Conference play.
