Kankakee County schools announce closures, e-learning days for Friday

King Middle School, with about 350 students in third through sixth grade, and Kankakee High School, (shown above) with about 1,400 students, both were targeted, meaning one or more student groups performed at or below the level of students in the lowest-performing 5% of schools.

Extreme cold entering the area on Friday has caused area schools to announce closures and e-learning days.

Bradley Elementary School students will be off on Friday.

Kankakee Schools will be using e-learning day on Friday.

Manteno Schools will be using an e-learning day on Friday.

Herscher Schools will be using an e-learning day on Friday.

Peotone Schools will be using an e-learning day on Friday.

Bishop McNamara will have an e-learning day on Friday.

St. Anne schools will all be off on Friday.

Clifton Central will be off on Friday.

Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School will be off on Friday, but extracurriculars scheduled after 3 p.m. are still on.

Bourbonnais Elementary will be closed off on Friday.

More cancellations and closures will be added to this list once they are announced.
