Records: Akron 4-2 overall, 2-1 MAC; NIU 1-0, 0-5

Last game: The Zips lost, 71-59, at Eastern Michigan on Saturday. The Huskies suffered their fourth straight loss, 70-58 at Miami.

Last meeting: Akron won 72-49 in DeKalb last year.

Keep an eye on: Loren Cristian Jackson leads the Zips with 22.8 points per game, the only play for Akron averaging in double figures. Chinedu Kingsley Okanu scored a career-high 12 points at Miami.

Also: The game will be the first at home for interim coach Lamar Chapman, who took over for Mark Montgomery on Jan. 3. Trendon Hankerson leads the Huskies with 12.1 points per game.
