Last week to buy Girl Scout Cookies extended through March 27

DeKALB - The Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois has added an extra week to its Girl Scout Cookie booth sales.

According to a news release, cookie both sales, where Girl Scouts sell their cookie products at community locations, were originally set to wrap up Sunday. However, the Girl Scouts faced inventory challenges during this year and, as a result, the organization decided to extend cookie sales through Sunday, March 27. All Girl Scout Cookies are on sale for $5 per package.

The Girl Scouts Cookie Program mission is to raise up the next generation of successful entrepreneurs. In the past, the Girl Scouts originally have learn the skills of money management, decision making, people skills, business ethics and goal setting. Beginning in 2020, the Girl Scouts began to embrace the use of the virtual market to help them market their cookies businesses, create connections in a safe web space, and arrange for contactless delivery, according to the release.

Interested customers can download the Cookie Finder App for Android and iOS systems on their device’s app store.

Cookie Finder directs consumers to in-person cookie booths closest to them. Customers visit www.girlscoutsni.org/buycookies to purchase cookies directly or be connected to a local Girl Scout entrepreneur looking for cookie customers. For more information, visit girlscouts.org.
