Rotary pancake breakfast a success at Sycamore Pumpkin Fest

SYCAMORE – The Sycamore Rotary Club served up stacks of pancakes to more than 500 guests recently during its pancake as part of Sycamore Pumpkin Festival.

The breakfast was from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at St. Mary’s Parish Center, 312 Waterman St., and served more than 525 guests, according to a news release.

Guests enjoyed all you can eat blueberry and buttermilk pancakes, sausage, applesauce and drinks.

The breakfast was cooked and served by dozens of Sycamore Rotarians and those from Sycamore High School, under the leadership of Rotary Chairman Brandon Diviak and Dr. Michele Jurkovic, Jeff Petersen, Jonelle Bailey, and Club President Paulette Renault.

Children enjoyed bucket toss games organized by Julie Sgarlata and her volunteer team, according to the release.

The Sycamore Rotary Club has more than 100 members ranging in ages from grammar school, high school, young professionals and local business leaders and professionals.
