DeKalb Public Library to host information sessions about Facebook Data Center open to those 18+

Facebook’s $800 million investment will transform 505 acres of land south of I-88 in DeKalb into a new data center.

DeKALB – The DeKalb Public Library will hold two informational sessions about the Facebook Data Center next month, and the public is invited.

Sessions will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in the lower level Yusunas Meeting Room at the library, 309 Oak St.

Both sessions will allow others to hear from Moretenson and Construction Trade partners who are currently building the data center, according to a news release. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about a paid training program which will be offered on the project site.

Attendees must be 18 years or older, according to the news release. Food and beverages will be provided to attendees. This interested are asked to register at dkpl.org to attend one of the sessions.
