Longtime Afton Township trustee retires, recognized for 40 years of service

AFTON - Steve Hilleson, longtime Afton Township Trustee, was recognized for his 40-year service this week during a meeting of the Afton Township Trustees.

According to a news release, on Tuesday, Township Supervisor Randy Bourdages presented Hilleson with a plaque of appreciation for serving the people of Afton Township for 40 years. Hilleson will retire and step down as trustee, and decided to open the spot up for others to serve, the release states.
