Player of the year – Ben Aranda, sr., 113 pounds, DeKalb

First team

Cameron Phillips, jr., 106, Kaneland - Phillips went 34-4 on the year.

Caden Grabowski, soph., 120, Kaneland - Grabowski finished the year 32-8.

Danny Aranda, fresh., 126, DeKalb - Aranda finished 10-2 on the season. He took fifth at the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association state meet.

Blake McGee, sr., 138, DeKalb - McGee wrapped up his prep career with a 14-0 mark.

Brayden Peet, jr., 145, Sycamore - Peet finished the season 25-0, one of two undefeated wrestlers for the Spartans. He won the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Official Association state championship after the season as well.

Tommy Curran, jr., 145, DeKalb - Curran went 8-0 on the season. He took second at the IWCOA 3A tournament after the season.

Damien Lopez, jr., 152, DeKalb - Lopez went 12-0 on the season.

Zack Crawford, soph., 160, Sycamore - Crawford didn’t lose in 25 matches this season for Sycamore. He was sixth at the IWCOA state tournament after the season as well.

Bradley Gillum, jr., 170, DeKalb - Gillum finished with a 12-0 mark for DeKalb. Although there was no IHSA state tournament, he won a title through the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association.

Colton Berg, sr., 170, Sycamore - Berg went 22-3 on the season.

Bryson Buhk, jr., 195, DeKalb - Buhk went 9-2 this year, then after the season took fifth at the IWOCA state tournament.

Dylan Shuman, sr., 220, Sycamore - Shuman went 22-3 this year.

Miles Ripper, sr., 220, Kaneland - Ripper had a 33-5 record this year.

Gavin Engh, jr., 285, DeKalb - Engh posted a 12-2 mark on the season.
