Kaneland girls volleyball continued its winning ways in Woodstock with a 25-10, 25-16 victory over Marian Central on Monday.
The Knights are 11-1 overall.
Genoa-Kingston 2, Marengo 0: At Marengo, Genoa-Kingston’s season remains spotless after a 25-11, 25-14 win over Marengo.
Alivia Keegan had 10 kills in the victory, and Alayna Pierce had 10 kills and nine digs as G-K improved to 13-0.
Marquette 2, Indian Creek 1: At Ottawa, the Timberwolves fell back to .500 after a 25-19, 19-25, 25-17 loss to Marquette.
Audrey Witte had 14 digs and five kills, Geena Sanford had seven kills and 17 digs, Clara Hulthen had five assists and 28 digs and Kaitlyn Frazier had 30 digs. The Timberwolves are 5-5 overall.
BOYS SOCCER
Kaneland 9, Sandwich 0: At Sandwich, Kaneland dominated Sandwich in a blowout win.
Somonauk 8, Indian Creek 0: At Shabbona, the Timberwolves were unable to keep up with Somonauk in a one-sided loss.
Rochelle 5, Hinckley-Big Rock 3: At Hinckley, the Royals lost despite a pair of goals from Luke Leifheit.
Tyler Smith also scored once for H-BR.
Sycamore 8, Ottawa 0: At Ottawa, the Spartans had no trouble earning the victory.
Jules Breidenbach scored four times, Evan Radisic scored twice and Alec Garcia and Carson Matthews each scored once.
GIRLS GOLF
Kaneland 176, St. Edward 223: At Wing Park, the Knights shot a season-low 176 to pick up a comfortable win on the road.
Katharine Marshall earned medalist honors with a 40, while Julia Skiba (43), Meredith Naab (46) and Aeryn Hwang (47) also scored for Kaneland.
Rosary 177, Hinckley-Big Rock 210: At Indian Oaks, the Royals were unable to keep up with Rosary.
Alyssa Swanson turned in a personal best round of 50 to lead H-BR in the loss.
