Author and artist Kyle L. White is inviting the community to a public reading of his new book “Just Out There Somewhere: Thoughts About Moving On.”

The free open house will run from 6 to 8 p.m. June 18 at Allegory Decoration and Design, 629 E. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb.

White will read selections from the book every half-hour. He also will exhibit various illustrations.

White is a former Sycamore Public Library artist-in-residence. His books also have been featured on Northern Public Radio.
