Former Wise Guys restaurant building in Princeton has sold

Out-of-state investor says eventually he plans new restaurant in the space

PRINCETON — The former Wise Guys restaurant building has sold to an Arizona man for $155,000.

James Nessan of Phoenix purchased the building, which has stood empty for several years with plans to eventually reopen as a restaurant and party/reception space. The purchase was recorded at the Bureau County Recorder of Deeds’ Office on Aug. 26.

Nessan said right now his plan is to remodel and repair the roof on the 11,000-square-foot building, with a new venue opening some time on the horizon.

Nessan, who formerly lived in the Chicago area, said he saw the building for sale online and purchased it as a future investment.
