Teams from Amboy, Dixon, La Salle-Peru, Mendota, Fieldcrest, Morris, Princeton, Hall, and Newman all competed during the Gary Coates Invitational cross country meet on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 at Zearing Park in Princeton.

Something a little different to help get runners in shape and excited for the season is what Ottawa cross country coach Dan Heaver had in mind when putting together the Ottawa Nautical Mile Relays. Mission accomplished.

Boys and girls Cross Country teams from Mendota, La Salle-Peru, Princeton, Newman, Amboy, Morris, Hall and Fieldcrest all competed during the Gary Coates Invitational Cross Country meet on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at Zearing Park in Princeton.
Thirty six schools, including host Bureau Valley, will run in Saturday’s Dale Donner Invitational cross country meet on the grounds of the Walnut Park District/Bureau Valley North School Saturday morning.

Teams from Putnam County, Henry-Senachwine, Hinckley Big Rock, Bureau Valley, Marquette, St. Bede, Princeton, Sandwich, Hall, Somonauk and Seneca all competed in the Class 1A Regional Cross Country meet on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at the Seneca FFA Farm in Marseilles.

The Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio boys cross country team placed 22nd at the Class 1A state meet on Saturday, while Princeton junior Lexi Bohms finished 72nd in the 1A girls race.
Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio’s Brock Loftus claims Class 1A Boys Cross Country Sectional title, Seneca’s Evelyn O’Connor finishes runner-up in the girls race at Oregon. A-L-O boys team advances to state for the initial time, Sandwich for the first time since 2003; Seneca’s girls team is also heading to Peoria.
Six schools from across La Salle County met at The Eastwood on Streator's northern edge Saturday for the 10th running of the La Salle County Cross Country Invitational.
