Bureau, Carroll, Lee, Ogle, Whiteside County students earn spring degrees

Bachelor's and master's degrees and doctorates were awarded to the following Sauk area students this spring:

St. Ambrose University

STERLING – Matthew Johnson of Sterling graduated summa cum laude, with a bachelor's degree in computer network administration, computer network, network and security at St. Ambrose University.

Upper Iowa University

FAYETTE, Iowa – Bachelor's degrees were awarded to Kari Corso of Chana, business administration, Kelsey Simpson of Oregon, graphic design, cum laude; Claire Milnes of Prophetstown, social science; and Logan Whitman, conservation management and Christine Zollinger, accounting, cum laude meritum, both of Sterling, at Upper Iowa University.

UW – Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Alec Giblin of Dixon earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.

Kansas State University

MANHATTAN, Kansas – Bachelor's degrees were awarded to Mae Bellovics of Dixon, agriculture; Jonathan Daniel Oldaker-Bahnsen of Fulton dietetics; and Kaitlyn Hildebrand of Ohio, agriculture; and Matthew Nielsen of Tampico graduated with a master's degree in science from Kansas State University.

Widener University

CHESTER, Pa. – Melissa Heisner of Ashton earned a master's degree in social work from Widener University.

Wheaton College

WHEATON – Russell Bryan Johnson of Erie graduated summa cum laude with a degree in international relations and economics and a minor in Spanish from Wheaton College.

Western Governors University

SALT LAKE CITY – Brittany Holocker and Elizabeth Coss, both of Dixon, and Vanessa Kitsmiller of Rock Falls, earned bachelor's degrees in nursing; and Mackenzie Wolfley of Dixon, earned a post-baccalaureate in elementary education at Western Governors University.

Luther College

DECORAH, Iowa – Bachelor's degrees were awarded May 24 to Evan Lobdell, English, and Collin Zollinger, political science, both of Sterling, at Luther College.

MADISON, Wis. – University of Wisconsin – Madison spring graduates are:

CHAMPAIGN – Deisy Marlene Diaz Gonzalez of Sterling earned a master's degree, civil engineering at the University of Illinois.
