New Lenox residents asked to use drop boxes for rebate applications

The village of New Lenox is asking residents to utilize the drop boxes to turn in their rebate applications this year.

The boxes are available inside village hall or the water bill drop box can be used outside. The decision was made for the safety of residents and staff.

If there are errors on the application, the village will contact the resident to correct it. Applications were mailed out to eligible residents last week, but if one has not received it, it is also available on the village's website.

Residents will receive a 50% tax rebate this year and applications are due Dec. 31.
