Idle Hour Lanes in Sandwich only had eight lanes when it opened Aug. 28, 1948. The bowling alley was built by Wesley Scent and Arthur Andersen. Scent's daughter Bonnie and her husband, Ron Miller, owned and operated the bowling alley for 41 years before selling last month. The bowling alley will now be known as "Pinheadz at Idle Hour Lanes."
