Jim Oberweis, the Republican candidate for Illinois' 14th Congressional District, is speaking at a rally for President Donald Trump tonight in Kenosha, Wisc., at the city's regional airport, according to a news release.
Oberweis received an endorsement from Trump on social media earlier this month in his Congressional race with Lauren Underwood, D-Naperville. Oberweis also was joined by Trump on a phone call rally last week.
Oberweis will join Wisconsin Congressman Bryan Steil and U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, according to a news release from an Oberweis spokesman. Trump is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m.
Underwood appeared wearing a mask in a video shot in Wauconda and posted to Twitter on Monday afternoon, encouraging residents to vote before polls close Tuesday.
Underwood has received the endorsement of former president Barack Obama.
The 14th District encompasses most of McHenry County, apart from the southeast corner that falls into the 6th District represented by U.S. Rep. Sean Casten. It also includes parts of DuPage, Kane, Lake, Will, DeKalb and Kendall counties.
