Fox Lake sets hours, rules for trick-or-treating

FOX LAKE – Trick-or-treating in Village of Fox Lake will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

Safety is top priority for the Village of Fox Lake. Should residents decide to trick-or-treat; the village is advising participants to follow guidance provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In order to help designate which homes are participating in trick-or- treating, the village has designed signs that can be displayed outside of homes. “Yes” and “No” door signs can be downloaded and printed from the village website.

A posted green sign in addition to an outside light left on will let trick-or-treaters know that they are welcome. A posted red sign in addition to no outside lights on will let trick-or-treaters know that they are not welcome.

Printed copies can be found outside the front door of Lakefront Park Building (71 Nippersink Blvd.), outside the front door of Village Hall (66 Thillen Drive), and in the lobby area of the Fox Lake Police Department (301 S. Route 59).
