COVID update: 12 new cases in Bureau County, 3 in Marshall County

Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Departments announce six free testing events

On Monday, Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Departments reported 15 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

In Bureau County, 12 new cases are recovering at home:

• One male child.

• One male in his teens.

• One female in her teens.

• Three males in their 20’s.

• Three females in their 40’s.

• One male in his 50’s.

• One female in her 50’s.

• One female in her 80’s.

In Marshall County, three new cases are recovering at home:

• One female in her 20’s.

• One female in her 50’s.

• One male in his 60’s.

There have now been 845 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Departments. Bureau County has had 679 confirmed cases. Marshall County has had 107 confirmed cases. Putnam County has had 59 confirmed cases. The first case was reported in Marshall County on March 23rd.

In total, 9,262 Bureau County residents, 1,172 Putnam County residents and 3,968 Marshall County residents have been tested for COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

In addition to daily testing available at Perry Memorial Hospital and St. Margaret’s Hospital, BPMCHD will offer the following free COVID-19 testing beginning on Sept. 30:

• Wednesday, Sept. 30, starting at 9 a.m.
